The haunting world of Cold Dream Colour journeys through the surreal and powerful imagery inherent in the paintings of Louis le Brocquy, Ireland’s foremost figure in the history of 20th century Irish art. With the precision and beauty of brushstroke to canvas, painted in light, the dance takes the audience through the physical and emotional complexities of the human landscape in a total engaging theatrical experience. Steinberg, Oguri and Liz Roche contribute their individual style of movement bringing a unique insight to the decades of le Brocquy’s paintings. While honoring this master’s vision, Cold Dream Colour stands as its own distinctly original work of art.

“a virtuoso performance…, a striking visual success” -Laura Bleiberg LA Times

“…the dance celebrates le Brocquy’s humanity… and gives a fresh glance at the ever-constant tension between individual and community, coalescence and fragmentation.” -Michael Seaver, The Irish Times
